"Holmes, Sweet Holmes"!
Probable the world-famous consulting detective Sherlock Holmes lived at 221b Baker Street based on the stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Baker Street is a small area. But you always find it very crowded, at any time of the day, and any time of the year, with the very busy "Madame Tussauds" and "The Sherlock Holmes" museum... The most famous address in literature: 221b Baker Street, you'll find it between numbers 237 and 241. Just follow the queue.
The museum is an attraction dedicated to the detective, a character who never existed. No Mrs Hudson is waiting at the door, but an old-fashioned Scotland Yard policeman.

A typical house with everyday life objects from the Victorian period. It might be a classic touristic place, but I like to go and show children a real immersion into time. The place is small, but it's the occasion to enjoy the rest of the day outside. Follow up by a picnic at Regent's Park and a walk by the lake.
Expect to wait for a long time, as the museum and its shop are in the same house, the number of visitors is limited.
